A Christmas Carol: Transformation
Understand the moment that defines the whole novella (Stave 4 and transformation)
Service Description
This workshop focuses on Stave 4, the turning point of Scrooge’s transformation, and a key section often used in mock exams. Students explore Dickens’ use of fear, symbolism, morality, and social responsibility. We break down how to analyse the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, interpret Scrooge’s reactions, and form strong exam-ready points. Students learn how to express Dickens’ message clearly and link it to themes such as generosity, change, and redemption. We finish with short timed writing tasks and model paragraphs to help cement new skills. A brilliant workshop for students who need stronger whole-text understanding.

However, webcams are not essential - students may attend with cameras off if preferred.
