Who this course is for

This course is for students resitting GCSE English Language (AQA) in November 2025. It’s designed for those who need a clear structure, targeted practice, and a supportive environment to get back on track quickly.

What the course covers

Across this intensive programme, students will:

• Strengthen reading skills - understanding and analysing unseen texts

• Develop writing skills - crafting clear, structured, and purposeful responses

• Practise exam-style questions under timed conditions

• Learn proven exam strategies to manage pressure and maximise marks

The focus is solely on the AQA English Language exam, ensuring every session is practical, relevant, and results-driven.

With no more than 4 students per group, everyone receives individual feedback while benefiting from the encouragement of peers in the same situation. This keeps learning engaging, prevents students from feeling isolated, and makes tuition more affordable than 1-to-1.

Practical details

• Start date: Week commencing 22nd September 2025

• End date: Week of the exams (4th & 6th November 2025)

• Format: Weekly 60-minute online sessions via Zoom

• Group size: max 4 students

• Cost: £18 per hour/ £108 for the 6-week block (w/c 22nd Sept - w/c 27th Oct)

Course structure

The course follows a rolling, structured block to ensure students are ready for the November resits:

Weeks 1-2: Reading paper - analysis, inference, and evidence skills
Weeks 3-4: Writing paper - crafting responses, accuracy, and structure
Week 5: Timed practice - building speed and exam confidence
Final week (w/c 3rd Nov): Targeted revision and last-minute confidence boost before exams on 4th & 6th November
